Deepika Padukone set to make her Bollywood debut with a bang on Diwali Day - 9 November 2007

The much awaited movie of the year Om Shanti Om directed by Farah Khan starring Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan and the gorgeous Deepika Padukone will be hitting theatres across the world on Diwali Day - 9 November 2007.
Leading lady of the movie Deepika Padukone is already being portrayed as the next queen of Bollywood.
The film is about the reincarnation of Om and Shanti of the late 70s as Om and Sandy of the 21st century. In the 70s, Om Prakash a junior artist falls in love with Shantipriya a beautiful and popular star. Shanti is murdered by someone she loves and Om dies unable to bear it. They meet again as Om Kapoor and Sandy 30 years later and together they endeavor to catch the murderer of Shantipriya.
Om Shanti Om also features a mega item number with 31 top Bollywood stars including the likes of Jeetendra, Dharmendra, Rekha, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Kajol, Karisma Kapoor, Salman Khan and Govinda.
