Frank Lampard born as Frank James Lampard Jr on June 20th, 1978 in Romford, East London, England is a dazzling English football player. He is born to Frank Lampard Sr, the former England full back and two-time FA Cup winner with West Ham United.
Frank Lampard's stint with West Ham United began in 1994 and ended in 2001 when he moved to Chelsea. Frank Lampard showed his flashes of brilliance while playing for West Ham United and became the core member of the team's success strategy. He then spurred West Ham United to win the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1999.
In 2001, Frank Lampard joined Chelsea for a moderate fee of £11m. But it wasn't until his third season with Chelsea; Frank Lampard discovered his magical football skills and established himself as a formidable footballer playing in midfield position. Interestingly, his discovery of form coincided with the arrival of Roman Abramovich.
Continuing in his amazing form, Frank Lampard showed his brilliant football skills and inspired Chelsea to win the English Premiership twice in 2004-05 and 2005-06; the F.A. Cup in 2007; twice the League Cup in 2005 and 2007; the FA Community Shield in 2005. He earned the FWA Footballer of the Year in 2005.
Frank Lampard became the highest-scoring midfielder in Chelsea's history. He is also the first Chelsea midfielder to score a hat-trick in both English cup tournaments against Macclesfield Town in the 2006-07 FA Cup and against Leicester City in the 2007-08 Carling Cup.
England reached the Euro 2004 quarter-finals with Frank Lampard showing his brilliance where he scored three goals in four matches. He was thus named in the official Euro 2004 All-Star squad by the UEFA technical study group. Frank Lampard was eventually voted England Player of the Year by fans in 2004 and 2005.
Frank Lampard is engaged to his girl friend Elen Rives. The yet-to-be-married couple has two daughters named Luna Coco Patricia in August 2005 and Isla born in May of 2007. His autobiography 'Totally Frank' was serialized in The Sun newspaper revealing the secrets of his personal life and his frustrations and successes in his football career.
