Ileana Biography

Ileana was born in Mumbai on 19th August 1987. After completing graduation she joined films. From her childhood itself she dreamed to become an actress. Modeling and advertisements gave her a good platform for her entry into the movie world. The director of Ileana’s debut movie spotted her from a popular fairness cream advertisement film and gave her the offer in his movie. Ileana’s debut film was 'Devadasu' opposite newcomer Ram directed by famous Telugu director Y.V.S. Chowdhary. This film was one of the big hits of 2006 and earned her much praise for her performance. Ileana got many offers after that film and she instantly became a hot property in Tollywood.
Then came immensely popular Telugu film ‘Pokiri’ with young actor Mahesh Babu, which made her the heartthrob of Tollywood. The film went on to being the biggest hit in Tollywood. ‘Pokiri’ earned her rave reviews and fame and so many offers from Tollywood. She became a huge hit with the B and C class audiences. Her success in Telugu film industry is often credited to her good chemistry with top actors like Mahesh Babu.
Ileana’s Tamil film ‘Kedi’ was also a hit. Ileana got many offers from Tamil film industry after this film. But she didn’t take up offers from Tamil, as her fluency in Tamil language is not as good as that of Telugu. After the hit of ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Khatarnak’ in Telugu, Ileana is focusing mainly in Tollywood. Ileana’s recent films include ‘Aata’ opposite Siddarth Narayan and Dil Raju’s ‘Munna’ opposite Prabhas.
