John Abraham born on December 17th, 1972 in Mumbai is a model-turned outstanding Bollywood actor. John Abraham's father is a Syro Malabar Catholic architect from Alwaye, Kerala while his mother Phiroza Irani is from Mumbai's Parsi community.
John Abraham had his school education at Bombay Scottish School and later did his graduation from Jai Hind College. He also did his MBA from MET. While in college John Abraham was an avid sportsman. He was a sprinter and was a captain of football association.
John Abraham began his career with a media firm Time & Space Media Entertainment Promotions Ltd. After its closure, John Abraham joined one of the leading advertising agencies, Enterprises-Nexus as a media planner. Being a media planner in a leading advertising agency helped and made it easy for John Abraham's entry into modeling world.
In 1999, he thus contested Gladrags Manhunt Contest and won, which qualified him to contest Manhunt International at Singapore and was placed second. Meanwhile John Abraham got busier with number of commercial advertisements. His innocent looks and baby-like smile contrasting his macho body and combined with pleasing manners have all made him the highest paid supermodel in India.
With sights set on Bollywood John Abraham decided to hone up his acting skills amidst his busy modeling life. So he joined Kishore Namit Kapoor acting lab and successfully completed a course on acting. Being a hot model, he made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with equally hot and erotic movie, "Jism". The film failed to click at the box office but John Abraham's acting skills stood him out. A year later, he excelled in a villainous role in "Dhoom", which became a blockbuster hit in 2004. John Abraham then went on to act in several successful movies.
John Abraham, the hottest wonderful actor has acquired worldwide fame through his stunning portrayal in "Water", a film directed by the independent Canadian film-maker Deepa Mehta in 2005. The "Water" was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 79th Oscar Award and John Abraham's acting talents has reached worldwide audience. Now the sizzling actor is again acting in Deepa Mehta's new film "Luna", which also stars Dustin Hoffman, Rachel Weisz and Chris Cooper.
