Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite popularly known as Kaka born on April 22nd, 1982 in Brasília is a magnificent Brazilian football player and a specialist midfielder. He plays for the Brazil national team. Kaka's football skills earned him honors and accolades galore. He was honored with the UEFA Champions League Top Scorer and Best Forward titles during 2006-07 season; UEFA Best Midfielder in 2005; UEFA Club Footballer of the Year in 2007 and several more.
Kaka began his football career playing for Sao Paulo at a tender age of eight. Kaka made his full-fledged debut in January 2001 and soon led Sao Paulo to its glorious first Torneio Rio-Sao Paulo championship win. He scored 12 goals in 27 matches and in following season he again scored 10 goals from 22 appearances. His brilliant performance attracted the attention of several Premier Clubs and AC Milan was the first to grab this football prodigy, Kaka for $8.5 million, which the club owner Silvio Berlusconi described the fee as 'peanuts'.
Kaka began his AC Milan debut in 2003 on a grandeur note. He scored 10 goals from 30 appearances during the season and spurred AC Milan to win the Scudetto and the European Super Cup. In 2005-06 Kaka amazed the football world with his two brilliant hat-tricks each in domestic and European competitions. With Andriy Shevchenko's departure to Chelsea FC during 2006-07 season Kaka became the crucial player for AC Milan and alternated between the midfield and striker positions. He scored 10 goals and steered Milan back to European success. A panel of experts set up by Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport proclaimed Kaka as the world's best footballer. Kaka was also named the 2006-07 FIFPro World Player of the Year.
Kaka was a devout Christian who openly advocates his faith in Jesus. He wears T-shirts on which are written, 'I belong to Jesus' and 'Jesus Loves You' underneath his jersey. Kaka is also a member of the organization called 'Atletas de Cristo' {Athletes of Christ}. Such a devout believer Kaka, it is rumored that he got converted to Islam during a friendly match in Kuwait.
Kaka is a renowned model who has modeling contacts with Georgio Armani besides campaigning for Adidas and Dolce and Cabaña. Kaka became an Italian citizen on February 12th, 2007.
