Salman Khan born as Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan on December 27th, 1965 is a popular Bollywood actor and a two-time Filmfare Award winner.
Salman Khan began his Bollywood journey with "Biwi Ho To Aisi" in 1988. The following year he gave a brilliant performance in "Maine Pyar Kiya", a musical romantic movie, which became one of the biggest hits in Bollywood. His brilliant performances were worth mentioning in movies like "Saajan", "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun", "Biwi No.1" and many more movies that went on to become the biggest hits in Bollywood. Salman Khan had also made his forays into Hollywood by acting in a movie, "Marigold".
Salman Khan is the son of Salim Khan [of Salim-Javed fame] and Salma Khan. He has two younger brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and two sisters, Alvira and Arpita. Helen the vamp actress of yesteryears is his stepmother.
His macho physique, alluring looks and the covetous smile that radiates warmth around, have literally made him a handsome playboy of Bollywood. His hottest romances with his co-stars, Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, and Aishwarya Rai are well known in the industry. Especially his flings with Aishwarya Rai put him in a bad light. He is reported to have physically humiliated her on several occasions. Her parents also lodged a complaint against him. Presently he is going strong in his romances with the sensational beauty Katrina Kaif.
Most of the time Salman Khan's hotheaded temperament landed him in troubles. Salman Khan was arrested for his rash and negligent driving that killed a person and injuring three others. Again in 2007, Salman Khan was handed over a five-year jail sentence for hunting endangered species, the chinkara. Presently Salman Khan is out on bail.
