Thierry Daniel Henry popularly known as Thierry Henry born on August 17th, 1977 in Les Ulis, Essonne - a suburb of Paris is an amazing French football player. He is a specialist striker known for his pace and scoring goals. He plays for the French national team. Thierry Henry who spurred his nation to win the 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000 has become France's top goal-scorer of all time.
Thierry Henry was born to parents Antoine and his wife Maryse. He grew up playing football for local sides and his football talents soon came to the notice of AS Monaco in 1990; and Thierry Henry made his football debut in 1992 playing for AS Monaco. He was with AS Monaco for six years until he moved on to Juventus in 1998. After playing for one year for Juventus, Thierry Henry moved to Arsenal in 1999 for £10.5 million. It was at Arsenal, Thierry Henry discovered his magical touch under his mentor and coach Arsene Wenger and soon emerged as a top goal scorer for Arsenal in almost every season. His football exploits at Arsenal made Thierry Henry the world-class footballer.
Thierry Henry won back-to-back PFA Players' Player of the Year titles. He won the European Golden Boot winner in 2004 and 2005 [sharing it with Villarreal's Diego Forlan in 2005], and won the French Player of the Year titles for a record four times. He was also named by football icon Pele as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers. As a captain Thierry Henry led Arsenal to the UEFA Champions League final in 2006. After eight glorious years with Arsenal, Thierry Henry was transferred to FC Barcelona for £16.1 million. No sooner he joined, Thierry Henry scored his first hat-trick for FC Barcelona.
Thierry Henry is married to an English model Claire Merry in July of 2003. They together have a daughter named Tea born in May of 2005. Two years later the couple decided to part ways through divorce and got the decree nisi served on them in September of 2007. Thierry Henry, who suffered racial abuse, is an active spokesperson against racism in football. He was also featured in advertisements like Nike, Gillette, Renault and Reebok.
