Beautiful Indian actress Trisha was born to Krishnan and Uma Krishnan, in Palakkad. Later, she started modeling and won the Miss Beautiful Smile at the Miss India 2001. Trisha is also said to be a good ballet dancer.
Trisha made her debut in Tamil film ‘Jodi’ where she was offered a small cameo role. Her first appearance as a heroine was in Priyadarshan's Leysa Leysa. Her career started with a string of flops such as Manasellam and Alai. However she won critical acclaim for her role opposite Surya in Mounam Pesiyadhe. With Tamil mega blockbusters like “Saami” with Vikram and ‘Ghilli’ with Vijay she earned fame and stardom in Tamil film industry. Ghilli was a remake of Telugu blockbuster Okkadu. In 2004 Trisha starred in the Telugu flick ‘Varsham’, the biggest hit of the year. Trisha became an overnight sensation in Tollywood through that film. In 2005 she won two awards including Film fare award and Nandi award for Telugu film. This film directed by Prabhudeva was a box office hit. She featured in Maniratnam’s ‘Aayitha Ezhuthu’ with Siddarth, Madhavan and Surya. Trisha got accolades for her performance in ‘Aaru’ a Tamil film, which was also dubbed in Telugu. Trisha featured in the remake of ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' in Tamil, Something Something ... Unnakum Ennakum where she paired with Jayam Ravi and the movie did well at the box office. In 2006 she featured in Sainikudu with Mahesh Babu, which didn’t go up to the expectations. Trisha’s ‘Aadavari Mattalukku Ardhalu Verule, released on April 27, 2007 is a family entertainer where she was paired opposite Tollywood superstar Venkatesh. Trisha's stellar performance is one of the highlights of the movie. In 'Kireedam' with Ajit, Trisha has tried comedy and has received rave reviews. Kireedam opened with high expectations and is getting good reviews from media and audience. Her other projects include three Tamil films, Bheema with Vikram, Radhamohan's Abhi and Kuruvi the Vijay-Dharani project. She has also signed one of Ravi Teja's Telugu films and a Gowtham Menon film in Tamil.
